The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, or Smart Chip, is a small card inside your phone that establishes a network connection. The SIM card is provided by your service provider or local dealer. In most cases, they are the best source of assistance with SIM card problems. There are a few reasons why you may receive this message.
The SIM card is out of alignment. If the phone has recently been dropped, bumped, or opened, the SIM card may need adjusting. Follow the SIM card installation instructions in your user guide.
The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code has been entered incorrectly multiple times. This can deactivate the SIM card. You should contact your service provider or local dealer for a new SIM card.
Your SIM card or your phone may be configured for a different service provider and may require reconfiguration. It may also be that your phone is configured so that it cannot be used with a SIM card from a different service provider. Please contact your current operator or service provider for assistance. Note: Nokia does not have the authority to make changes to the phones it sells to a service provider. Only the service provider can authorize or make changes. Please contact your mobile service provider for their rules and regulations.

Why does my Nokia device display "Enhancement not supported"?
There are various reasons you may receive this message when you connect an enhancement to your Nokia device.
The enhancement is not a genuine Nokia enhancement.
All Nokia products will have "NOKIA"on the actual product.
"For Nok" or "For Nokia XXXX" should not be listed on the product.
A logo stating "Original NOKIA Enhancement" will also be printed on the packaging or instructions for a genuine Nokia enhancement.
The enhancement is not connected or working properly.
Try powering off your Nokia device, disconnect and reconnect the enhancement, and power your Nokia device on again.
Test the enhancement with another supported Nokia device. If you experience the same difficulty the enhancement may not be working properly.
The enhancement is not compatible with your Nokia device.
Not all enhancements work with all Nokia devices.

UNEP report finds "greening" of Beijing Games impressive
BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Significant strides are being made to green the 2008 Olympic Games, a report issued by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) says.
The hosting of the Games is also proving to be a catalyst for accelerating environmental improvements across the city, as Beijing strives to balance rapid, often double-digit economic growth with health and environmental protection, according to the report issued for the 7th World Conference on Sport and the Environment which closed on Saturday.
"The initial score card on the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics2008 is positive in terms of the greening of the Games," said Achim Steiner, UN Under-Secretary-General and UNEP Executive Director.
"The more than 12 billion U.S. dollars spent by the Municipal Government and Government of China appears to have been well spent and will be even more well spent if the lessons learnt and measures adopted are picked up by municipalities across the country so as to leave a real and lasting nationwide legacy," he added.
The UNEP report says environmental measures are being introduced covering waste management, cleaner transport systems and water treatment, as well as new urban green belts including a 580-hectare Olympic Forest Park.
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) should also be commended for accelerating the phase-out of ozone depleting chemicals and for the provision of energy efficiency and green energy appliances at buildings and sports venues, said Steiner.
"An interesting innovation is the widespread use in the venues of ground, water or air source heat pumps systems to provide buildings with heat in winter and air conditioning in summer time," the report says.
Solar power is also being extensively deployed at stadium and at the Olympic village and the organizers have well-developed plans to re-use and recycle venues after the Games close.
When Beijing won the bid to host the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a decision was taken to accelerate and add to the existing Beijing Sustainable Development Plan scheduled to be completed in 2015.
Twenty key "greening" projects are at the center of the plan alongside the Olympic Green project incorporating 20 venues, the Olympic Village and the 760 hectare Forest Park.
The UNEP report covers these initiatives and reflects on the wider impacts of the Games on Beijing and beyond including organizers of future high-profile international events.

1.85 million Olympic tickets to go on sale next week
BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- About 1.85 million tickets for the 2008 Olympic Games will go on sale as the second round of booking starts Tuesday, the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee (BOCOG) said.
"The tickets will be sold on the 'first come, first serve' basis in this stage," Rong Jun, head of BOCOG's ticketing center, told reporters Saturday.
Orders from Chinese mainland residents and foreigners living on the mainland can be processed on the website www.tickets.beijing2008.cn, at 1,000 designated domestic Bank of China branches and via the hotline (95-2008).
Rong said that each person is allowed to buy a maximum of 50 tickets, while a limit of two tickets at most is applied for those high-demand events.
Excluding those reserved for the Olympic Family, sponsors and rights-holding broadcasters, more than seven million tickets are available for sale, with about 40 percent being reserved for domestic sale.
According to BOCOG, the 63,000 tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies at the 91,000-seat National Stadium, dubbed the "Bird's Nest", and over two million tickets for sports events had been sold out during the first stage between April and August this year.
To make the Olympics affordable to average Chinese residents, about 58 percent of the tickets are priced at 100 yuan (about 13.3 U.S. dollars) or below, and 14 percent will be reserved for Chinese students for 10 yuan or less.
Ticket prices for the 28 sports sessions range from 30 yuan to 1,000 yuan. The most expensive tickets are for the opening ceremony on Aug. 8, 2008, which cost up to 5,000 yuan.
